Having malaligned or crooked teeth imparts several problems for the patient. Primarily it results in low self-esteem and lack of confidence among patients. Functionally there are conditions which can lead to long term problems such as periodontitis due to difficulty in maintaining good oral hygiene and temporomandibular joint problems. It can also lead to caries of teeth due to compromise in oral hygiene maintenance.
To correct these malaligned teeth, here at REVO Dent, we use Clearcorrect – a Straumann company to design bespoke treatment plans for patients from digital scans and high resolution photogrpahs. This is then translated into high quality clear aligners. The tentative final results can be visualised using Clearpilot™ before you approve your treatment plan. In most cases we achieve the space required for momement of teeth with IPR (Inter Proximal Reduction), in which space is generalised by creating fine spaces in between teeth using fine blades, thereby eliminating the need for extraction. But, at times this is not always possible.
Once the teeth alignment are corrected, you will be provided with clear retainers, which help in maintaining the position of the corrected teeth.
