Laser Gum Treatment Cost in UK: What You Need to Know?
If you’re suffering from gum disease or receding gums, laser gum treatment (also known as laser periodontal therapy) can be a game-changer. Unlike traditional methods, laser treatment is minimally invasive, causes less pain, and promotes faster healing.
What is Gum Disease?
Gum disease/Periodontitis is bacterial in origin and is worsened by other contributing factors such as smoking, diabetes/health conditions, medications, etc. The treatment is aimed at controlling these factors, minimising/eliminating the bacterial load that causes gum disease. Lasers have proven to have an edge over most other traditional treatments with minimal use of antibiotics/antiseptic mouthwashes.
Average Cost for Laser Gum Treatment in UK

Our Treatment Range
At REVO Dent Liverpool, we have fine-tuned the protocol to treat gum disease with lasers, and it is REVO NAP™ (Revolutionised New Attachment Procedure).
REVO 1
This treatment is ideal for the early stages of gum disease. This is ideal in controlling the disease before it causes any major damage to the periodontium/gum tissues supporting the tooth structure. This protocol aims at eliminating/controlling the type of bacteria that cause gum disease (Porphyromonas gingivalis, Tannerella Forsythia, Treponema denticola, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Prevotella intermedia), thereby providing a conducive environment for the gum to heal and stabilise.
(Cost Range – £1,250 to £1,750 for full mouth)
REVO 2
The protocol includes everything in REVO 1, and additional laser wavelengths are utilised to tighten the gum against the tooth. This results in healthy soft tissue formation around the tooth surface.
(Cost Range – £2,500 to £3,500 for full mouth)
REVO 3
This combines the ultimate power of lasers in treating periodontal disease. It includes everything in REVO 2 along with the revolutionary New Attachment Procedure (REVO NAP™). This is our flagship, unique and advanced procedure, where the focus is to reduce or eliminate pocket depth by establishing new attachment of the gum to the tooth and underlying bone surface. This procedure greatly helps in the long-term stability of the treatment, when combined with good oral hygiene methods, which are prescribed by our dentists/therapists.
(Cost Range- £3,500 to £5,000 for full mouth)
REVO Ultimate
This procedure is recommended only in selected patient cases where there is loss of bone due to gum disease, where grafting can be used to rebuild the lost bone volumes. Though it is not fully possible to establish the full height of lost bone volumes, the procedure helps to greatly eliminate pocket depth by grafting and thereby improves the long-term stability and ease of maintenance. This combines everything included in REVO 3, along with grafting and, at times use of mouth splints to manage occlusal (biting) forces that can damage the periodontal/gum tissues.
(Cost Range – £5,000 to £7,500)
For Consulting
We provide a full periodontal/gum assessment including x rays, diagnosis and consultation for £100.

Factors Affecting Laser Gum Treatment Price
Here are certain factors that can affect the overall cost of laser gum treatment
Number of Teeth Treated
This decides the length and number of appointments required for treatment.
Severity of Gum Disease
Gum disease can range from early to advanced, which is professionally staged (1-4) and graded (A/B/C). Based on this, the protocol can vary
Extent of Damage to the Bone Dupporting the Tooth/Teeth
Due to gum disease, most patients suffer loss of bone around the roots. The nature and extent of bone loss further determine the type of laser required to treat.
Need for Any Grafting Procedures
At times, tooth/teeth can be loosened due to gum disease as a result of loss of bone that supports the tooth/teeth. Based on the defect of the bone structure supporting the root of the tooth/teeth, there are treatment options to graft the defect, thereby the tooth becomes stable and the mobility of the tooth decreases.
Laser Equipment Used
Several types of laser machines can be used. Each laser does a specific function based on the wavelength, range etc. Therefore, based on the disease severity and extent, different types of Lasers will be used to treat, and the cost will vary accordingly.
Number of Sessions Required
Every patient is unique and different. The healing potential of the body varies. Moreover, the general health of the patient, medication, previous history of smoking and parafunctional habits such as bruxism further modify the nature of gum disease. These factors decide the number of laser sessions required to treat gum disease.
Expertise of the dentist
This can differ significantly from dentist to dentist based on their additional training/education, knowledge about lasers and tissue interaction, and experience in handling advanced cases. Laser equipment has great versatility, and the expertise of the dentist in handling the equipment results in varying outcomes.
Is Laser Gum Treatment Worth the Investment?
Laser gum treatment offers a modern, minimally invasive solution for treating gum disease, reshaping gums, and improving overall oral health. While prices can vary depending on the severity of the condition and the clinic’s location, the benefits reduced pain, faster recovery, and long-term gum health often outweigh the costs for many patients.
Investing in your oral health now can help prevent more complex and expensive dental issues in the future. If you’re considering laser gum treatment in the UK, it’s essential to consult with a qualified dental professional to get a personalized quote and treatment plan.
